Engaging students in today’s current learning environment can be challenging! Kahoot is a great way to engage your students and make learning or reviewing already learned material in a fun way. My students absolutely love Kahoot! Currently, our district purchased the book “Wonder” for all of our reading classes. We were really excited to be able to read this book with our students; however, also knew that the reading level was higher; therefore, vocabulary words would also be a challenge. As a result, I created Kahoot games with graphics for the challenging vocabulary words they would encounter. We read about 15 pages a day and played a Kahoot game before each read. The students are so excited to play this game I often get asked to keep it down in my class. There are several other Kahoot games already made and you can always make your own, so if you are looking for a great free way to change it up and get your students excited about learning something try Kahoot. Also, if you would like to use any of my Wonder Kahoots my user name is dr.willis. Just click on the link below to get started!
